BRAILLE BATTERY WINS TWO GLOBAL MEDIA AWARDS AT THE 2010 SEMA SHOW

Sarasota, FL Nov 8th - This past week Braille Battery was part of the 2010 SEMA show in Las Vegas which is the premier automotive specialty products trade event in the world. Braille was on hand to show their latest advanced products in Lithium-Ion starting batteries. This was a record year with more than 2,000 entries in the new product showcase and the first time Braille has submitted their products. Braille was honored to receive two Global Media Awards for their latest Lithium-Ion based starting batteries. A judging panel of 26 journalists from 16 countries chose a select few products based on their innovative technology, potential Impact and potential commercial success. Braille’s Lithium Starting Batteries topped the list of new products.

“We’re proud to be recognized in a global market for two of our new Lithium products,” stated Blake Fuller President of Braille Battery. “We have worked for years on this new technology and also have to thank all the race teams for helping us with great feedback of what works in real world situations. These products are the results of our racing wins at LeMans, Daytona, Sebring and other World Class Events.”

The two batteries selected are from the full line of Braille Lithium products Made in the USA for the automotive enthusiast and Eco-Minded consumer.

The MICRO-LiTE ML7S is the world’s lightest starting battery at only two pounds and is designed to be used in race vehicles with 4 to 6 cylinder engines. The ML7S Lithium starting battery is also a direct replacement for some motorcycle applications and will have superior electrical performance with less weight.

The Braille INTENSITY 480R Group 48 Carbon Fiber OEM style is a “Race Profile” battery that weights only 10 lbs. This battery is designed to replace the original starting battery with less weight saving at least 30 lbs while providing superior electrical performance. The “Race Profile” design describes the shorter height with a lower center of gravity. Having the same footprint as the original equipment battery makes for an easier performance option for the OEM. These lithium starting batteries are not only light but also “Green Friendly”. They are a lead free product that is part of a RoHS Compliant eco-minded program that is being adopted in most European countries.

Both of these new Braille products are part of the new expanded line of Lithium-Ion based lightweight starting and energy storage batteries. Braille will show the entire line of Lithium and AGM batteries at the Performance Racing Industry (PRI) show Dec 9-11 in Orlando, Florida.
