Braille Battery Wins SEMA Global Media Award
BRAILLE BATTERY WINS SEMA GLOBAL MEDIA AWARD AT THE SEMA SHOW
Sarasota, FL Nov. 8th - This past week Braille Battery was part of the SEMA show in Las Vegas which is the premier automotive specialty products trade event in the world. Braille was on hand to show their latest advanced products in Lithium-Ion starting batteries. This was a record year with more than 2,000 entries in the new product showcase. This is also the third year in a row that Braille was honored to receive a Global Media Award for innovative design. The Green-Lite GU1R Lithium-Ion based starting battery is an entry-level battery for the enthusiast needing enough power to start a v8 with less weight at an affordable price. A judging panel of 26 journalists from 16 countries chose a select few products based on their innovative design technology, potential impact and potential commercial success.
“We’re proud of the Design Award from SEMA as it recognizes both aesthetic design, but also innovative technology achievements,” stated Blake Fuller President of Braille Battery. “The Green-Lite GU1R is a representation of the Braille design philosophy of offering race proven technology into existing battery applications. The GU1R is a result of long-term relationships with NASCAR teams like the Dayton 500 winning Wood Brothers Racing. Based on this Daytona 500 winning technology, the Braille Green-Lite U1R brings professional level technology to those on an enthusiast’s budget. These products are the result of our racing wins in Formula 1, IndyCar, Le Mans, NASCAR, Drag Racing, Rally and so many other forms of racing.”
At a retail price of $549 the GU1R brings into reach Braille’s proven Lithium technology to the average racing consumer. With 947 Pulse Cranking Amps the battery provides the performance to replace batteries with up to 800CCA ratings. Designed for competition use in a large variety of applications, the GU1R allows a huge advantage for those seeking not only weight loss, but also increased electrical system performance. The winning battery selected is from the Green-Lite line of Braille Lithium products made in the USA for the automotive enthusiast and Eco-Minded consumer. The Braille GU1R is a battery that weights only 6 lbs and can start a V8. This battery is designed to replace the stock original battery while saving at least 30 lbs. Having the same footprint as an original equipment battery makes for an easier performance option for the OEM. These batteries are not only light but also “Green Friendly”. They are a lead-free product that is part of a RoHS Compliant eco-minded program that is being adopted in most European countries.
Braille will show the entire line of Lithium and Advanced AGM batteries at the Performance Racing Industry (PRI) show Nov 29th thru Dec 1st in Orlando, Florida.
